Elaphiti islands day trip

The 3 main Elaphiti islands include Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan, and on a full day tour (8hours) you’ll have just enough time to visit and explore each little patch of heaven.

Kolocep island

Kolocep, more popularly called ‘Kalamota’ by the locals, is the closest island to Dubrovnik, which usually makes it the first stop to explore. This island is split into two populated areas known as Gornje Celo and Donje Celo. The two are connected by wonderful hiking paths with stunning views of the Adriatic sea and the surrounding islands.

Restaurants in Donje Celo: Restaurant Villa Ruza
Restaurants in Gornje Celo: Restaurant Skerac, Restaurant Gornje Celo

Lopud island
Lopud is the ‘island in the middle’. It’s known for Sunj, a beautiful large sandy beach, as well as for several cultural landmarks such as the Francascian monastery.

Sipan island
Sipan is the largest and farthest island from Dubrovnik. It has two settlements – Sudurad and Sipanska Luka. Depending on how much time you spend at the first two islands, you may or may not have time to reach Sipan. If you are eager to go as far as Sipan, make sure to tell your skipper at the beginning of the trip!

FULL DAY BY SAILING BOAT:

While they are a slower means of transport and take more time to go from one location to the next, sailing boats bring you closer to the true charms of the sea.

Elaphiti islands suggested route #1:

  2. Sandy beach Sunj on Lopud island: go for a swim at the largest sandy beach (option to eat a light lunch and have some drinks at the beach bar/restaurant)
