In layman’s terms
the main difference between a catamaran and a sailing boat, is that a catamaran has two parallel hulls, while sailing boats have only one. The extra hull provides a larger surface which means catamarans provide significantly more stability on board. The extra space also typically means spacious cabins and outdoor areas.
With all of their onboard commodities, it’s easy to see why motor yachts are popular for island hopping tours. Faster yachts can be used to visit further islands in just one day. For example, some larger yachts can take you all the way from Dubrovnik to Mljet, with enough time for activities along the way.
